Notary Service Requirements for Brian Barber's Mobile Notary Public
1. You can plan ahead by sending your document(s) to me in advance. I will gladly print up to 5 pages black and white, at no extra charge. he notary appointment. ( 2 IDs is better)
- Passport
- Driver’s License / State ID
- Military ID
- or 2 Witnesses w/ ID
2. ID name matches document name.
(Exact match) An ID must match the name indicated on the document for a notary to identify you in that manner as mandated by California Law. Document(s) Name(s) and Identification Name(s) must match.
3. Signer and notary can communicate
Signers must speak the same language as the notary conducting the transaction (English).
4. Signers agree to the documents in advance, and are completely aware and understand what is being sign and notarized.
Signers must willing, and must not be coerced in to participating with a notary service, having fully reviewed and understood the nature of the documents to be signed in advance. All discussions and agreements should be finalized prior to scheduling your notary appointment. All signers are openly willing to sign the document on their own accord. A notary is unable to proceed with any transaction if their are signs of unwillingness, duress, uncertainty, or coercion and or intoxication.
5. Signers are Completely of sound mind.
It is particularly common that I have requests for sick or elderly signers. Brian Barber is unable to provide notary for disoriented, medicated, or with questionable capacity and or individuals whom appear to be intoxicated. Brian Barber will ask a series of questions to determine a person’s ability to make sound decisions on their own.
Further, California law mandates all signers will be of sound mind and competent before the notary. Signers should show a mental capacity to discern the magnitude of the situation.
6. Documents Completed and ready in advance.
All documents are fully completed. By law, documents being notarized are to be filled entirely (except for signing the document) before notarization. Please note the notary is unable to draft or assist with completion of documents.
7. Notary Appointment
Schedule Online , email, text or call now! The calendar has availability one day out to give all signers and the notary enough time to be prepared for the appointment.

The notary will bring prior acknowledged documents to the signing.
